The McDonald's newsletter is a fortnightly email communication. It consists of multiple panels that highlight current products and promotions. The audience is segmented with certain content getting sent to specific groups depending on their behaviour and preferences.
The old template was feeling tired and with the progression and increased use of contextual panels, it no longer had the flexibility to let creative concepts flourish. Whereas, the new layout allows each panel to have its own personality and unique look and feel.
The copy was also feeling lengthy, which we felt would discourage the recipient to click through with the call to action. By condensing this, it added intrigue and made the content more manageable and easier to digest.
